Young Stars Begin 2018 APL Spring Season Tomorrow

Junior Lone Star FC U19 team, nicknamed the Young Stars, will begin the 2018 APL spring season tomorrow away to FC Montco Die Mannshaft at 2:00pm at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, PA.

The Young Stars, through head coach Samuel Cole and assistant coach Idrissa Koroma, have welcomed several new players to beef up the squad of returning players from last year.

The U19s will be hoping to improve from last year when they finished last in a six-team conference.

This year, the Young Stars will face familiar foes like FC Revolution and Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, but they will also have to play some other competitive matches against the Philadelphia Union Academy U17s, Continental FC, and Match Fit Academy FC in a seven-team conference.

As stated earlier, the U19s begin their season at 2:00pm tomorrow away to FC Montco who defeated Penn Fusion on opening day.

The Young Stars will then host Match Fit Academy on January 27th at 4:45pm at the YSC Stadium in Wayne, PA.

The U19s will culminate their 12-match season against the Philadelphia Union U17s on April 28th, two weeks before the start of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer U19 State Cup.
