Well, this is your chance as we are searching for interns who will assist us in our goal of becoming the best both on and off the field during the 2023 Spring/Summer and/or Fall season.
As Philadelphia’s only pro-development soccer club competing in the USL League Two (USL2), USL Academy (USLA), and the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), we are looking for dedicated interns for:
- Spring/Summer 2023 (April 1 – August 6) and/or
- Fall 2023 (August 19 – December 3)
Requirements for all interns
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for college credit.
- Available to work nights, weekends and game days.
- Must have own method of transportation.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Corporate Partnerships sales efforts.
- Be an ambassador of the Club within the corporate community.
- Support Sponsorship staff during home games.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and interest in sports.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA
Duties & Responsibilities
- Write and report on the club, players and coaches both on and off the field.
- Interview coaches and players and assist with transcribing quotes for the club’s digital use.
- Assist with generating and posting content on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
- Assist with building, updating and editing the club’s website.
- Support all home and away matches.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and interest in sports.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and design flyers, posters, banners, and other collateral to support the Ticketing, Sponsorship, Operations, and Marketing and Communications departments.
- Assist the Marketing team with the creation of digital graphics for use on social media outlets, broadcasts, website, and more.
- Assist the Creative team in content capture including interviews, video shoots, photography sessions, and event documentation.
- Help create, manage, and execute Club content calendar.
- Participate in weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions for creative and engaging content for fulfillment of Club’s goals.
- Provide input for, and assistance with, overall look and feel of brand including interactive and environmental design.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge and abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects.
- Photography and/or videography experience a plus.
- Copywriting abilities not required, but preferred.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and telephone etiquette.
- Accessible portfolio of work submitted with application.
EVENT OPERATIONS
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the operations department on game day and non-game day operations.
- Ensure proper back of house and field level set-up is in accordance with USL2, NPSL, WPSL, UPSL standards which includes, but not limited to: (1) Set-up and tear down of sponsor field signage & wall banners (2) Install and removal of match equipment (goals, team benches, corner flags, etc.). (3) Set-up and tear down of service level operational space: team & referee locker rooms, press box, etc.
- Work with ball managers, stats runners and communicate with the press box.
- Provide referees with any assistance as needed before, during, or after the game.
- Ensure compliance with the game timing sheet and game day information.
- Give notice to the home team and visiting team to ensure they take their positions on time for pre-game ceremonies/introductions and for the second half.
- Aid in servicing the needs of the visiting teams on game day.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Duties & Responsibilities
- Shoot action photos of training sessions.
- Shoot photos during game days and other events as needed.
- Edit photos in Photoshop.
- Post-game day photo galleries to the team website.
- Photograph fans and in-game presentation.
- Handle image sourcing/emailing internal and external photo requests.
- Assist with archiving of photos.
- Edit photos used on social media.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Interested in pursuing a career in photography.
- Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones.
- Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning among others.
PUBLIC RELATIONS/COMMUNICATIONS
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within industry and local market media.
- Identify compelling and creative storylines to pitch to media and bring them to live.
- Assist in coordination of events such as press conferences, media day, etc.
- Attend and support in the execution of home games and weekly media activities.
- Support the development of departmental publications (e.g., press releases, media advisories, game notes, media guide, etc.).
- Monitor and report on team coverage in new and traditional local and national media.
- Compile, archive and distribute local and national media clips.
- Maintain and update all media archives, including quotes repository and press materials.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and interest in soccer and sports.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Knowledge of social media monitoring.
TICKETING
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with sale of season tickets, premium seats, and group tickets.
- Participate in grassroots events and other community initiatives of the ticketing department.
- Assist ticket sales staff to achieve overall ticket sales goals of the Club.
- Support Ticketing staff during home games.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Club.

VIDEOGRAPHY
Duties & Responsibilities
- Shoot action videos of training sessions.
- Shoot videos during game days and other events as needed.
- Assist in editing videos, from interview segments, highlight reels, commercials, social media, sponsorship content and in-game features.
- Assist with archiving of videos.
- Assist with the creation of motion graphics for game day in-stadium content and social media.
- Attend at least one community engagement event per month.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and interest in sports.
- Working knowledge and abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Photoshop.
- Photography and Videography experience a plus.
- Ability to come up with creative solutions.
