Coach Flowe and midfielder Sophie guests on BBC Sports

Philadelphia Lone Star FC Women’s head coach Charlie Flowe and midfielder Sophie Edelblut will be guests on the BBC World Service – Sportshour on Saturday, March 2 at 12:06 PM EST.

Sportshour airs on BBC World Service which is the world’s most listened to radio station with a total audience of more than 300 million.

The Sportshour crew Caroline Barker and Joel Hammer, were in Philadelphia to record a special show on women’s soccer for the build up of the She Believes Cup as well as the Women’s World Cup.

Sportshour attended the 2019 Mainlines Friendlies where they also spoke with Sophie Edelblut and her Unity FC teammates, Meg & Emily Bucker and Maren Dougherty. Sophie will be competing with Philadelphia Lone Star FC Women in the Women’s Premier Soccer League this summer.

Throughout the week Sportshour and coach Flowe worked together interviewing England Women’s National Team players & coaches along with U.S. Women’s National Team players. Mid-week Caroline Barker hosted a sit down discussion about the women’s game. Joining the conversation were the English Football Association’s Head of Women’s Football Sue Campbell, former New Zealand international Rebecca Smith, Jen O’Neil who runs a women’s football website shekicks.net and our very own Philadelphia Lone Star FC Women (WPSL) Head Coach Charlie Flowe.
