Stars Re-sign Monyan, N’Guessan, Turay, and Allison for NPSL season

With the 2017 National Premier Soccer League season opener in two weeks, Junior Lone Star Football Club NPSL Team head coach Neewilli Saie has announced the signing of the first four players of the season: goalkeeper Prince Monyan, defender Kouassi N’Guessan (Pique Pique), midfielder Fatoma Turay (Ft Turay), and forward Anthony Allison.

Monyan will be returning for his fifth season in the NPSL. The Liberian goalie has made 42 appearances in the NPSL and holds the most overall career appearances with the club at 67.

N’Guessan will be returning for his third season in the NPSL after a stint in the PDL with Jersey City Express for the past two seasons. During his time with us, the Ivorian defender made 9 appearances in the NPSL, scoring 3 goals. Overall, N’Guessan has appeared 27 times for JLSFC, scoring 7goals with 1 assist.

Turay will be returning for his fifth season in the NPSL. The Sierra Leonean / American midfielder holds the most appearance for the club in the NPSL at 44. He also has 3 goals and 9 assists in the NPSL. Overall, Turay has made 51 appearances for JLSFC, scoring 3 goals with 10 assists.

Allison will be returning for his second season in the NPSL. The Liberian / American forward was the top scorer for the Stars in the NPSL, scoring 10 goals in just 12 matches. Overall, Allison has appeared 23 times for JLSFC, scoring 20 goals with 7 assists.

In the coming days, more players will be signed as the Stars look to have a strong squad capable of winning the NPSL national championship this season.

The Stars opened the 2017 NPSL season away to fierce rivals West Chester United SC on Saturday, May 13th at 7:00 pm before playing their home opener against Buxmont Torch FC on Saturday, May 20th at 4:00 pm at the Monsignor Bonner High School Stadium in Drexel Hill, PA.
