Stars in College: Gawronski, Ajago, Diarra, Keita Shine

Several Stars from our men’s First Team were in action for their respective colleges last week.

Temple University redshirt freshman goalie Eoin Gawronski was the STAR in the Owls’ 0-0 2OT draw against #10 Seton Hall over the weekend and was honored by the American Athletic Conference as Goalkeeper of the Week.

University of Dayton junior forward Forster Ajago scored three goals and had an assist in the Flyers two games while Southwestern University sophomore forward Mamadou Diarra had a goal in the Builders’ 2-3 loss against Oklahoma City and William Penn University senior midfielder Aaron Keita had an assist in the Statesmen’ 5-1 win at #23 Morningside.

TEMPLE UNIVERSITY
Eoin Gawronski (R-Fr., GK) earned a clean-sheet against No. 10 Seton Hall Thursday. He made six saves including a penalty kick that would have won Seton Hall the match.

Cesar Ripa (So., D) and Goodwill Agbaadem (Jr., GK) missed the match.

SAINT JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY
Alvin Dahn (Grad., M), Michael Mullins (Jr., D), and Alex Hartmann (Jr., D) were all involved in the Hawks’ 0-1 loss at home against Marist last Thursday. Both Dahn and Mullins also played in the Hawks’ 0-1 overtime loss at home against LIU yesterday.

PENN STATE UNIVERSITY
Danny Bloyou (Sr., F) appeared in both the Nittany Lions’ 1-1 tie (last Thursday) and 3-0 win (yesterday) at home against George Mason and Syracuse, respectively.

RUTGERS UNIVERSITY
Moussa Sabaly (So., F) did not play in the Scarlet Knights’ 2-0 win at home against University of Delaware last Thursday.

UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE
Alvin Halley (Jr., D) played in the Blue Hens’ 0-2 loss away to Rutgers University last Thursday.

LOYOLA UNIVERSITY MARYLAND
Marco Bla (So., M) started in the Greyhounds’ 2-0 win at home against UC Irvine yesterday.

UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON
Forster Ajago (Jr., F) scored a brace and had an assist in the Flyers’ 5-1 win against UAB last Friday. He followed that up with the equalizer in the Flyers’ double overtime 1-1 draw against Memphis yesterday.

UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE
Aboubacar Camara (Fr., F) started in the Cardinals’1-2 double-overtime loss at Saint Louis last Thursday.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPSTATE
Hayden Anderson (Jr., D) played in the Spartans’ 0-2 loss at North Carolina State University last Thursday as well as their 0-5 loss at Clemson University yesterday.

UNIVERSITY OF WEST ALABAMA
Maxime Correia (Sr., F) starts his season with the Tigers later this week.

SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE
Mamadou Diarra (So., F) was on target for the Builders in their 2-3 home loss against Oklahoma City on Saturday.

WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY
Aaron Keita (Sr., D) started in the Statesmen’s 2-0 victory at home against Iowa Wesleyan last Tuesday before registering an assist in the Statemen’s 5-1 win at #23 Morningside on Saturday.

LYNN UNIVERSITY
Elliott Alain (Fr., F) starts his season with the Fighting Knights later this week.
