August Axtman joined the Stars in September 2020. Axtman played four seasons at King’s College where he finished his career with 74 appearances (68 starts) and 24 goals for the Monarch.

During the 2019 season, he led the Monarchs and finished atop the regular season conference rankings with nine goals scored including four penalty kick goals and three game-winning goals. The captain anchored a defense that allowed just 23 goals in 21 matches and gave up just 8.5 total shots and 3.8 shots on goal per match.

He is a three-time selection to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team, a four-time selection to the All-MAC Freedom squad including three years on the First Team, a 2018 selection to both the Academic All-District Team and the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team, a two-time MAC All-Academic Team selection, a three-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll, a one-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, and a six-time MAC Freedom Player of the Week which includes five Defensive Player awards and one Offensive.
