YOUTH & HIGH SCHOOL
Alex Hartmann was born in Hamburg, Germany. He attended high school at Gymansium Kaiser-Friedrich-Ufer and played youth soccer for FC St. Pauli where he made 60 appearances from 2015-18. He also played for Niendorfer TSV U19 (Bundesliga Nord/Nordost), in the fifth tier of Oberliga Hamburg, during the 2018-19 season and helped prevent relegation after tallying one goal from 18 matches
COLLEGE SOCCER
Hartmann is currently a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University where he has made 26 career appearances (25 starts) for the Hawks. He was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week ending 9/9/2019 and was named the 2019 SJU Defensive Player of the Year as well as the 2019 SJU Rookie of the Year.

Hartman previously played for SC Sternschanze in the German Landeliga during the 2019 season.
