Match Report: Stars Defeat Danubia 8-0 in State Open Cup

Philadelphia Lone Star FC defeated Danubia SC 8-0 to seal their passage to the semi-finals of the EPSA Open Cup in emphatic fashion.

Ebere Goodluck opened the scoring in the 11th minute to put the dominant visitors ahead off a cross from Bamba Blamassi.

Lautaro Bonifacio, making his club debut, doubled the Stars’ lead in the 17th minute via another assist from Bamba Blamassi.

Bamba Blamassi then added his name on the scoresheet in the 25th minute with the third goal with a sweet finish after lashing onto a long pass from defender Eugene Dennis.

Ebere Goodluck completed his brace in the 35th minute off an assist from Nyakeh Kamara before Eugene Dennis powered in a shot at the back of the net off a corner from Bamba Blamassi to give the Stars a 5-0 half-time lead.

The procession continued after the break with goals from substitutes Harris Mulbah in the 62nd minute off an assist from Kanibah Kutu-Akoi, a debut strike for Opeyemi Amao after he had missed a penalty earlier, as well as a memorable goal from Kanibah Kutu-Akoi after good interchange of passes between Opeyemi Amao and Daouda Camara in the 69th minute.
