Junior Lone Star FC’s U23 team took on Philadelphia Union homegrown defender Auston Trusty and the United States U20 team in a friendly at the University of Central Florida in Orlando on Saturday.

The U.S. team won the match 5-0 behind a pair of first half penalty kicks and three goals in the second half.

The U.S. U20s are currently in the midst of their final training camp ahead of the U20 World Cup Qualifying in Costa Rica February 17 to March 5.

Saturday’s friendly was part of a five-day preseason trip to Florida for the U23s.

The Stars beat Central Florida FC Spartans 3-1 in a friendly earlier this week behind goals from Alvin Tapp, Mohamed Conteh, and Francis Watson.
The U23s will compete this season in the EDP Super Club U23 league and the U.S. Club Soccer National Adult League. Both leagues operate on a May through August schedule.
