Philadelphia Lone Star FC’s Under-13 Academy Team represents the entry point into the Club’s structured academy pathway and long-term player development model.
The team is comprised of young, motivated players from the local communities who are beginning the transition from grassroots football into a more competitive, development-driven environment.
At the U13 level, the program emphasizes:
- Technical development and comfort on the ball
- Fundamental tactical understanding of the game
- Creativity, decision-making, and confidence in possession
- Enjoyment of the game while building discipline and accountability
Training sessions are designed to challenge players appropriately for their age, focusing on skill development, movement, and game intelligence rather than results alone.
The U13 Academy forms the foundation of The Stars Pathway, preparing players for progression into the U15 and U17 Academy teams while instilling the Club’s values, playing identity, and standards from an early age.
